Having a birthday near Christmas means never quite knowing what to do. But as this is the 50th I decided to go for a fitting challenge. So I spent the day doing “50 exercises of 50 reps each.” Many were not strictly reps — they were seconds or metres. But still.

I thought it might be fun to share the day — and might give others some ideas for celebrating significant occasions!

50 upright rows

50 goblet squats

50 leg raises

50 sit ups

4 different stretches of 50sec hold each

50 kettlebell swings

50 kettlebell deadlifts

50 second plank

50 second press plank

50 push ups

50 curls (each arm)

50 hammer curls (each arm)…

Me holding a kettlebell in the kitchen!

50 french presses

50 minute walk

50 second sprint

50 star jumps

50 med ball throw & squat catches

50 1 arm rows (each arm)

50 2 arm rows

50 kettlebell clean & press (each side)

50 shoulder press (each side)

50 jumps

50 rope jumps

50 side raises (each arm)

50 front raises (each arm)
